In 1995 Harry Shapiro visited the renowned Australian Cricket Academy to study the high performance cricket coaching methods which had taken Australia to the top of world cricket. During his visit he managed to obtain the Australian Advanced Coaching Certificate and to this day he remains one of few South African cricket coaches to hold this prestigious award.
The Australian methods of cricket coaching have proved to be very successful with all who have attended our clinics but unfortunately have not been implemented by many other South African cricket coaches.
At the basic level we encourage young players to hit the ball instead of pushing at it. Balance and eye hand coordination training are also a feature of our skills development program.
Many young players who attended our various cricket coaching schemes have since achieved higher honors. The best known is Graeme Smith who attended our famous Cricket Coaching Winter School for 7 years.
Players who attend our various cricket coaching courses receive comprehensive all round training covering all aspects of the game including fitness and visual skills enhancement.
All our coaches and consultants are full time professionals in their field with many years of playing and coaching experience as well as the highest cricket coaching qualifications
Harry Shapiro has become internationally known for his expertise in coaching leg spin bowling .He has learnt the art of coaching leg spin bowlers from the great Terry Jenner the most famous of all leg spin coaches and has assisted him in several leg spin coaching clinics.
