Our Basic skills cricket coaching program incorporates special drills and games to ensure that youngsters are able to master the correct basic techniques as well as eye hand  coordination, balance ,agility and speed

Batting:

In order to enjoy  and express themselves, young cricketers must be given the opportunity to master the basic attacking shots and have the confidence to hit a ball without fear of failure. In order to do this the young player must be taught that the back-swing, foot movement and stroke are combined into one continuous movement, which will give the maximum bat speed and control with the minimum of effort. Defence can be taught easily by simply slowing the down-swing for both the front foot and back foot drives.

Bowling:

As with any of the cricketing skills, teaching the Basics correctly at an early age is absolutely vital. In the past number of years, greater emphasis has been placed on these aspects as the amount of cricket, even at youth level, has increased and the incidence of injuries among young players especially, seems to be more prevalent.
It is thus essential that coaches develop a sound knowledge of the various bowling techniques and actions, as well as an understanding of the most basic biomechanical principles that play such a critical role in bowling, in order to help any youngster build a proper, basic action.

Fielding:

Fielding is the most important part of modern day cricket and sadly neglected by most coaches .We teach Correct fielding techniques and we have special drills to improve all aspects of fielding.

Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed

The ABCS of athleticism are the most important elements of all ball sports. These have to be mastered  before the sport specific skills are taught.

The Cricket Coaching Institute provides expert tuition in all the above either on a one on one basis or in small groups.
